Rachel Hottle is a fourth year undergraduate at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, PA, where she is studying music and biology. She worked in the SMART lab during the summer of 2017 as a visiting research assistant. Her main interests are in the interaction between music and emotion, in particular in melodic expectancy and auditory scene analysis. Outside of the lab, you can find her playing, writing, or listening to music, or looking for snails in wooded areas.
